Breast augmentation, which is one of the surgeries frequently preferred by patients who are uncomfortable with small breast size, is a surgical operation that allows the breast to have a more voluminous and shaped appearance.
In breast augmentation surgery, augmentation is performed with special implants selected in accordance with the patient's request and doctor's recommendation. As a result of the operation, patients have a more aesthetic and voluminous breast appearance.
Breast augmentation surgery is an operation that takes an average of 1-2 hours under general anaesthesia. In the operation, 4-5 cm incisions are made in the breast area. Through the incisions, implants of the size / type decided before the operation are placed in the area. The position where the implant will be placed (above or below the muscle) is determined to best suit the patient's anatomy. At the end of the operation, the incisions are closed and the patient is fitted with a corset. The patient is then placed in his/her room to rest.
After breast augmentation surgery, the patient is hospitalised overnight. During this process, she is checked by her doctor. The next day, she can return to her hotel/home. It is quite normal to observe oedema in the operation area for the first few days after the operation. In this process, the patient should take care to rest and follow the doctor's recommendations.
DAY 5-14.
Routine controls of the patient are performed in the first week after the operation. In this process, oedema and bruises have started to decrease. At the end of the 7th-10th day, the patient can return home if he/she lives abroad or outside the city. On the 10th-14th days, the patient can take small walks provided that he/she does not tire himself/herself and can return to his/her daily life.
1ST - 6TH MONTH
In the 1st-6th month after breast augmentation surgery, the healing process progresses rapidly. For 1 month, the corset recommended by the doctor should be continued. The region has largely completed the healing at the end of the 2nd month. After the 2nd month, the patient can return to non-heavy sports activities with the permission of his doctor. The patient's monthly controls continue to be carried out with the visuals sent via Whatsapp. The doctor may recommend cream/medication to the patient if deemed necessary.
1 YEAR
In the 1st year after the breast augmentation operation, healing is completed, the sensitivity and surgical scars felt in the operation area are minimised. In this process, online doctor controls continue. The doctor's recommendations must be followed in order to maintain the appearance.
